In 2018 in excess of 3,100 Australians are estimated to be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Only 8% of Pancreatic Cancer patients survive more than five years and the median survival rate is between three and six months.

As many of you know, we lost our beautiful Min (Marilyn/Mum/Nanny) to pancreatic cancer on 13 February 2015. Not a day goes by that we don't remember her, or miss having her here in our lives.

In her memory, and to help fund research to make survival possible for other people who have this terrible disease, we (her minions) will be walking on Sunday 6 May 2018 in Melbourne to raise money for the Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

We'd love for you to kit yourself out in your best purple finery (and sporting Min's favourite 'belligerent burgundy' nail polish, if you're that way inclined) and join us on the day. A sea of walkers in purple walking along Southbank making a spectacle of themselves is a fantastic way for us to help make people aware of this little-known and rarely survived cancer!
